Hammerspotting

Inspired by the iconic film poster for the film Trainspotting, but using characters from the classic horror films of Hammer Film Productions.

So I've been really busy with other projects, but I have not abandoned DeviantART! I will be looking at working on The Sable Laudanum Society again when September comes!

Scientist, artist, writer, occasional musician.

I generally work in traditional art, simple photo-manipulation and Photoshop. I'm not great, I'm just in it for the fun! I also do a spot of story-writing from time to time.

My influences are steeped in 1920s Art Deco, classic gothic horror (Dracula/Frankenstein/Jekyll and Hyde/Poe), steampunk, dieselpunk, dystopia, the occult and anachronistic technology.

I am the writer of the Museum of the Weird and Withered which is devoted to commenting on weird things throughout history, e.g. mad science and the occult.

I am also working on a story project called The Sable Laudanum Society, set in a dark pseudo-1920s period.

No prob, thought it was really funny :D Not much up here yet, hit a busy point but when I start on my story I'll post more. It's only at prologue draft stage. But then again, I now have a sudden urge to read Gormenghast and then I might lose the whole concept I have for my story :P

That's fine! I just love how you get the colours so vibrant as well as how even though the characters look flawless, there seems to be something deeper and darker in them. I look forward to seeing more :)
